In case you though a car's cost of ownership included just payments, insurance, gas and air-freshener trees, consulting firm Runzheimer International wants you to know how deep your car's economic impact really is. Add in finance payments, depreciation and cost of repairs and maintenance and the total financial drain may be the equivalent of having a full-time personal valet on the books, or just a needy brother-in-law, depending on the car. What's the most costly vehicle to own, according to the firm's methodology? It's the Cadillac STS, at a staggering $18,544 per year, including near-cataclysmic depreciation and high insurance.
