Treehugger on the Canadian Mercedes B-Class

This image was lost some time after publication, but you can still view it here.

We were supposed to get a version of the Mercedes B-Class, until the company wised up and remembered not to nuke its stateside brand image — i.e., damaged but still upscale — with the B-(lower)-Class's family-car positioning. Let's not even mention the dollar's weakness against the Euro, or the Canadian dollar's near 14-year high against the greenback (or its rise against the Euro) giving the C$30,000 B-Class a market possibility in the land of maple, where it couldn't pay its own freight in the states. Treehugger's take focuses on its size and utility, and its more efficient CVT tranny.
