This Video Explains How A Little Lancia Transformed Into An AWD Rally Monster

There’s only one catch: it’s in Italian.

This is an excellent promotional film from 1991 for the then-legendary, now-only-sorta-kinda-really-well-liked Lancia Delta Integrale.

This was the car that dominated the World Rally Championship in the late ‘80s into the early ‘90s, with an advanced turbo four-cylinder engine up front along with an open differential, a viscous coupling in the middle, and a Torsen diff at the rear. It was the format for every all-wheel drive Subaru, Mitsubishi, Ford, Citroën, and VW to come.

It’s a wonderful explainer for the car, supposing you can understand Italian.
