"Now I know why they call it The Last Frontier," said Kevin McMahon, surveying the Alaskan wilderness from a helicopter. He and David Guzman picked up a Nissan Titan, heavily modified with parts picked out by Nissan's Facebook fans, and headed into the bush for an incredible adventure.
Both gentlemen are US military veterans and alumni of the Wounded Warrior Project; an organization that, in their words, is designed to "raise awareness and to enlist the public's aid for the needs of injured service members, to help injured servicemen and women aid and assist each other, and to provide unique, direct programs and services to meet their needs."
The twentysomthing-minute film follows the men as they take the truck over rivers and through woods; camping, hiking, and building their way across the incredible state of Alaska. Follow their journey in this video, and be inspired to pay respect to our veterans. While you're at it, get off your ass and go outside!
The truck's parts list looks something like this:
- NISMO cold-air intake
- Borla cat-back exhaust
- 18" Fuel Revolver D525 wheels
- 35" Nitto Trail Grappler M/T tires
- ARB Deluxe bull bar
- ARE Camper Top
- Bulldog LED lights
- PRG 4" Long Travel suspension kit (air bags, control arms, sway bar ends, remote reservior coilovers)
- Front & rear air lockers
- Fridge, dry storage, slide-out cargo rack, shower
- "Recon" digital-camp wrap
