The new Chevy Aveo will obliterate the current car's econobox image. Today, workers at the car's Orion assembly plant previewed it, seen showing the covered teaser above. We'll tell you all about it next week at the Detroit Auto Show.
It can't just obliterate the current car's econobox image. It has to be better than the upcoming Fiesta. The problem with a lot of new cars General Motors is celebrating about (the new Malibu comes to mind) is that they're only sufficient. You can't only be acceptable, you have to be extraordinary. Sure you'll sell a couple more cars and your reputation won't necessarily be harmed, but you aren't going to become a world-class automaker known around the globe for its fine products.
