Here it is. A Range Rover Sport that's faster than your neighbors Range Rover Sport. Like, 550 hp faster. Meet the SVR, the first car built by Jaguar Land Rover's Special Vehicle Operations.
The latest pointlessly quick, but therefore ultimately entertaining SUV, the Range Rover Sport SVR will debut in two days at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, but you can see it action before that thanks to the following video shot during its development program at the Nürburgring.
The sound of that supercharged V8 is really something else.
Land Rover sold about half a million Range Rover Sports to date, and the SVR is set to show the world that the British can build their own Cayenne Turbo using their cutting edge aluminum chassis and the brute force of that blown V8.
More SVR models are set to follow from JLR's hardcore division, but in the meantime, take a look at the Range Rover Sport SVR's prototype and its funky cameo livery. A giant wheel of confusion aimed at those spy photographers. Looks wicked.
