'The 2013 Land Rover LR2 Proves The Turbo Four Is The New In Engine'

The Land Rover LR2 is a baby sport ute, but it can conquer some dirty terrain. MotorWeek has the proof.

In fact, MotorWeek proves it in a number of ways. Well, let me be accurate there. They prove that it can go over the same group of dirt hills five times in a row, from five different angles.

Other than that, watch with wonder as the Land Rover LR2 drives around Quebec in this b-roll footage from the first drive event. Also get excited abo some expert GoPro footage that lets you see the hood of the car and not much else.

I love seeing cute utes go off-road, its like seeing little kids try to rock climb...fun to watch, but you'll sit back and think how glad you are that you've grown up. One other thing; 4100 lbs. That's how much this weighs. Same as this

As a reference, so sure its pretty capable off road and 240/250 sounds like enough power...just remember what kind of lard its toting around. And considering that the LR2 required premium fuel and only returns 20 mpg combined (vs 18 combined on regular for the jeep) the cost to run is the same. Did I mention that the jeep is bigger, cheaper and can pull a heavier load? But who am i kidding, this demo is all the offroading these will ever see.
