Both of these cars are as wide as a bus, come with supercharged V8s, heavy manual gearboxes and utterly useless stereos. The CCR is one of 14, while the Ford represents one third of the Mirage 720 population.
One of the criticisms that springs to my mind about Top Gear power tests is that it can be hard to get a feel for the car through the Yorkshire baritone of Jeremy Clarkson, but that is not the case with this video from the BHP Project. The car is a spaceship, but with a booming gargle rather than a whoosh.
With all of the talk this week about Koenigsegg exploring the concept of camless engines, I thought it might be fun to revisit one of their oldies-but-goodies: the CCR.
