In keeping with Audi’s trends as of late, the updated-for-2018 Audi A5 Coupe doesn’t look that much different from its predecessor on the outside. But there are significant updates under the skin, and at least one piece of very nice news: we Americans still get a manual option. Thanks, Audi.
I determine my interest in a car based on how much trouble I think I can get into with it.
Audi just showed the world its all-new 2017 A5 Coupé at its headquarters in Ingolstadt, though if you’ve seen the 2017 A4 upon which its based, you probably won’t be surprised by its specs.
The Audi S5 Cabriolet is not a new car. Oh, the one I drove is new in the sense that it's a 2015 model, and the one I drove had fewer than 1,000 miles on it, but it's not really a new car.
Street drifting is a bad idea because 1) you can hit somebody and 2) when you lose control you hit stuff, as this Audi S5 idiot/driver found out.
A Long Island, N.Y. car dealership caught the whole thing on its security camera: Two would be thieves, unsuccessful in their attempts to steal a 2012 Audi S5 convertible, returned an hour later, set it on fire and fled again.
Someday, automakers may have to confiscate all cameraphones when they preview new models at dealer meetings. But, you know, whoops. Instead, we may have just found out that Audi's planning a special edition S5 4.2.
In the spirit of Chase Jarvis's excellent book The Best Camera is the One That's With You, I've recently started shooting cars with my iPhone 3GS. Who knew that tiny little lens had soul?
Not surprisingly, a slew of pics of the Audi RS5 übercoupe have leaked. No embargo's strong enough to hold back this brutish, 450 HP Euro barnstormer from the interwebs. Do similar easy-to-shed shackles keep it from coming stateside? Maybe.
Autocar's printing filthy rumors saying VW's planning to foist an R4-platformed car onto Stuttgart as a Porsche 356. Sure, everybody likes the idea of a 356, but not when it's a bastardized, pudgy, nostalgia-riding, baby-boomer-targeted beige-mobile.
Take a look at this 333 HP supercharged-V6 quad-pipe quattro seven-speed S-tronic 4-door S5 sportback! Sadly, a look is all you're going to get, because Audi isn't bringing this possible Panamera-fighter stateside. Gallery below to make us all sad together.
While The General may be King Of The Pushrod V8, those Yurpeans have cooked up some pretty good overhead-cam competition. How about a straight-from-the-factory V8 that redlines at a lunatic 8,250 RPM?
The 2009 Audi A5 Convertible, the latest in a long line of four-seat Audi soft tops, appears to have gotten a bit of an early unveil thanks to a photo leak onto the net. The most notable feature is the canvas roof, bucking the hard-on-top trend made popular by Mercedes, BMW, Lexus IS250C and Infiniti G37 Convertible…
Jack Baruth over at the many-coloned Speed:Sport:Life, which brought us the F430 v. GT500 v. Elise v. Caliber challenge, is at it again with a tirade against those who eschew FWD and brightly-colored cars from the land of Bruce. Baruth is the proud owner of both a vintage Porsche Lime Green Audi S5, which is as bright…
Audi's engineers did a fairly poor job of concealing the Audi RS5, the much-anticipated super-super GT from Audi, from the KGP photographers patrolling the California desert. The revised and menacing front bumper, silver side mirrors and lack of fog lamps is a fairly sure giveaway that this is the supremely sporty…
A report at Fourtitude says highly placed sources are stating the pending B8 Audi RS4 and the first edition of the Audi RS5 will be sporting a massaged version of the 4.2-liter V8 currently in the RS4 and R8. The mill would be getting a boost from 420 HP to 450-470 ponies, most resulting from opening up the…
With all the rumors swirling and expectations high for a drop-top version of the Audi A5, we knew we should expect the inevitable spy photos of the 2010 Audi A5 Cabrio (or convertible, if you'd prefer) to show up sooner or later. Though we weren't completely sure whether it would have a good ol' rag top or a folding…
