The new Audi TT with a two liter turbo and all-wheel drive is pretty much the ultimate all-year daily driver sports car. And a good one at that.
I'm probably gonna get a bunch of shit for saying this, but I think the Audi TT Sportback Concept works. It shouldn't work, but it works.
We first saw the 2015 Audi TT in hardtop form way back in March, but let's be honest here. There is no Audi TT without the convertible, soft top option you see scooting all over the suburbs of the world. So here it is, finally making its debut. And with the hotter TTS version, too.
The original Audi TT was a little sporty-ish coupe ostensibly based on a Volkswagen Golf. Throughout the years it's grown more aggressive, and also grown out. And while it still shares a platform with the Golf, with the Audi TT Offroad concept, the little coupe is finally growing up. Literally.
The 2015 Audi TT already sits on a versatile platform, if you consider how many cars it shares underpinnings with. Meet the new 2015 Audi TT. Similar to the old TT. Except this one has a lot of power and the programmable cockpit of the future. Welcome to Germany's newest sports car that is dripping with sporty dynamism.
Just this morning, I found myself wondering when a pic of the all-new 2015 Audi TT would leak out before next week's Geneva Motor Show. Lo and behold, here it is! Meet the next generation of Audi's sport coupe.
Audi has chosen a peculiar way to unveil its new car (probably the 2015 Audi TT). It's in the back of a truck heading up a winding South African road. And at the end, someone named Martin is going to show it. It doesn't sound that glamorous.
Audi's development chief Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg presented the Audi Allroad Shooting Brake Concept at the Detroit Auto Show this afternoon as a "combination of the core values of TT, quattro, and allroad" as well as the basis for the next TT appearing later this year. Told you so.
The interior of the next Audi TT has just been shown at CES 2014. To say it's full of technology is probably an understatement when you look at the huge map where the instruments would normally be.
