Singapore is eminently walkable, with wide avenues, famously draconian clean streets regulations, and an overall welcoming atmosphere for the pedestrian. Well, you might have to kiss all that goodbye because electric unicycles, scooters, and non-hovering, non-board-shaped “hoverboards” are taking over the city.

Coconuts Media, the English-language media network covering Asian urban centers recently caught up with some of the increasing number of “personal mobility device” enthusiasts, so they can tell us what a complete and total menace—I mean, ahem, total convenience that these electric people movers are.

Everything about Singapore makes it very pedestrian friendly except for the weather! The worst August day in central Florida is an average day in Singapore. I remember going for a run in Bishan Park without water and almost not making it back in 90 degree F heat and 99% humidity.
