From the Angry Charging Bovine File: Red, a Gardnerville, NV-area bull owned by Michael Smokey, apparently got a bee in his bonnet about the Interstate highway running through the open range and began mauling vehicles on I-395. Two Department of Road and Highway Builders employees, whose vehicles the bull had set his sights on, managed to rope Red and lash him to a truck, where he continued to gouge the vehicle's side. Under Nevada state law, Smokey won't be held liable for Red's little spree, as owners of cattle on open range can't be held responsible for collisions between an animal and a vehicle.
