Rolls-Royce showed off an extended-wheelbase Phantom at this year's Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance that could sell for roughly $400,000, giving it a price-to-largess ratio of close to one-to-one. Rolls decided to test a homologated limo after getting a rush of orders for the (non-US) bespoke version, mostly from China and the Middle East. More shocking than the level of conspicuous consumption required to tool around in the kingly Rolls are the engineering feats that gave the stretch a mere 150lbs over the short-wheelbase version.
