Our compadres at Eurocar Blog got hold of a few scans from an unnamed Spanish magazine that's allegedly published photos of Volkswagen's Iroc Concept (no, not IROC, Tony, ScIROCco), which will inform the company's upcoming Scirocco coupe. As EcB points out, the concept in these shots looks like an elongated VW Golf, with a connection to VW's Ecoracer concept it showed in Tokyo. The real Iroc will debut at the Paris motor show next month. No T-tops on this Iroc, though — it looks like it'll have a panoramic sunroof.

yes, VW needs to focus on reliability. but remember, the new Scirocco is slated to be produced in Portugal. VW's european-built cars are vastly better than nearly identical designs built in Mexico or Brazil. By the way, the 2.0T engine has won several european engine awards. Direct injection is a good leap forward, so hopefully the sick horse days are past.

Now they need to build something that looks like it evolved from the Corrado rather than this green Fisher-Price car with the ugly nose and the boy racer interior. What happened to those artist's proposals of the red Scirocco?
