Peter Max Corvettes Collect Dust in Brooklyn

It's a travesty in search of a telethon. Hippy-dippy pop artist, Peter Max, owns 36 Corvettes, one from each model year between 1953 to 1989, but he's no Jay Leno. The cars, which Max had planned to paint in variations of his signature acid-trip motif, are covered in acres of dust collected during the 15 years they've been kept in the basement of an industrial building, like a fleet of nutcake grandmas. Thankfully, Max never slathered them in day-glo, which would have dramatically decreased their value — estimated to be in the millions. For 50 cents a day, we'd definitely adopt a '63 split-window.
