Sepahan Airlines Flight Crashes in Iran, Killing 38 (UPDATED)

A Sepahan Airlines Iran-140 crashed near an airport in Tehran on Sunday, killing 38 passengers on board, and sending nine to the hospital. It was reported earlier that all on board had perished.

Iran's official IRINN network said the plane had 40 passengers on board, including six children plus eight crew. It crashed in Tehran near a neighborhood inhabited by hundreds of military families. It's unknown at this time whether the number of fatalities included victims on the ground. The airline involved has been confirmed as Sepahan.
