I owned a 1982 Mercury Capri with T-tops. The car had the structural integrity of over-cooked linguine.
At about 30K miles I started having problems with the tops leaking. Somewhere around 65K, it was getting difficult to get the doors to close securely. At 67,400 miles, the windshield started to crack when I drove over a particularly rough railroad crossing.
I managed to get 130K miles out of the car before it gave up the ghost on I-95 one night.
