NBC Hires Kickass Commentators For Its F1 Coverage

The commentator's box for NBC's coverage of Formula One next year will be led by Leigh Diffey, David Hobbs and Steve Matchett. This is a good thing.

The only big change in the booth is that Bob Varsha is getting replaced by Leigh Diffey, who subbed in during the European and Singapore Grands Prix this year while Varsha covered Barrett-Jackson. Diffey does Grand Am now and will also be doing IndyCar next year as well. Hobbs and Matchett are current commentators for SPEED's F1 coverage, so their voices should be familiar.

We still don't know if Will Buxton will have a job as pit lane reporter is still TBD, says NBC. We're holding out for him.

Can they please replace Hobbs with Varsha? Hobbs constantly sounds like a drunken Englishman blurting out nonsense over the TV.
