The kids at World Car Fans let fly with the promo shots of Chevrolet's WTCC concept car it plans to unveil at the Paris show this Thursday. Based on its Epica hatch, the little European Chevy racer is powered by a 2.0-liter common-rail turbodiesel. The company says the car, which was a global effort, is ready to drive, if not race, as is. More (including video) after the jump.

I caught the head of GM design talking about this ride in the context of GM styling in general. He kept on refering to the Camaro and how he had seen it tacked to the bulletin boards of so many GM staffers around the world.

I kind of like this car in the same way I like the cars in the old PS "Rallycross" game. Boy racer indeed. I doubt those Spa F1 mirrors (that's what they look like to me) will make it into production, though.
