This is Down On The Street Bonus Edition, where we check out interesting street-parked cars located in places other than the Island That Rust Forgot. Here's an AMC that's beaten the odds and survives on the snowy Minnesota street!

RegalRegalia spotted this rare machine on his way to class:

I was walking to class at the U of M through dinkytown, the almost universally student-populated neighborhood, when I saw this beauty. It was the first snow of winter, barring the couple of times it snowed in October, but I think it adds a bit to the menace of the Javelin. This beautiful beast asleep in the snow has the 304 and the SST trim. I know it's a 71-74 because of the incredibly sexy arches, and from what I can find the recessed grill was only on the 74, but what do I know?

This is the kind of thing I see all the time here in Green Bay, WI. There's the running beaters like this as well as the cars that are left to rot in a yard. Currently there's a '65 Mustang Fastback, a '50 Chevy Panel Truck, a '61 Ford Falcon, a '61 Rambler American Convertible, and a '61 LaDawri Conquest kit car powered by an aluminum Oldsmobile V8 that reside, non-running, near me. There's also a running '49 Chevy Panel Truck, '46 GMC Panel Truck, '67 Camaro, '69 Camaro SS, and a 1961 VW Beetle that live through the winter being driven. An hour away in the U.P., there's a lot more and a whole dealership with rotting, running classics.
