Maybe there's hope for Fiat after all: U.S. sales up 51 percent in September. Also, Dodge sells 5,235 Darts.
The Dart's numbers to make an interesting comparison:
Caliber Sept. '11: 2,552; Dart Sept. '12: 5,235
Caliber Jan-Sept. '11: 10,021; Dart Jan-Sept. '12: 9,254.
The Dart is just barely on sale, and it's already almost matched the Caliber's performance from the first 9 months of 2011, as well as basically doubling September sales. Amazing what happens when you start making cars that don't completely suck.
