Mario—'Let Me Love You'

Traffic sucks, so why not start your morning off with some music? You provide the toast and we’ll provide the jams.

Here’s a song that defined my junior high school years. I recall “Let Me Love You” playing on darn-near every radio station in the Kansas City area between 2004 and 2005, and to this day, I know every lyric. It’s catchy, it’s fun and the music video features lots of dancing. I’d never have guessed the singer, Mario, would end up being a bit of a one-hit wonder. Still, what a hit it was.

Oh man, this is Track 4 of soundtrack to my freshman year of college, Track 1 being Kevin Lyttle’s “Turn Me On”, Track 2 being “Grand Theft Autumn” by Fall Out Boy, and Track 3 being Yellowcard’s “Ocean Avenue”.

Also, remember when Mario referred to the girl he was serenading as $1.09?
