From the "draw your own conclusions" file we have the story of Timothy Lee Walker, age 48, who fell off the roof of a moving SUV while trying to hold a mattress in place. According to Burlington, NC police Walker was holding on to the top of a 1995 Ford Explorer in an attempt to secure the mattress while transporting it. When the SUV rounded a corner Walker and the mattress flew off the roof of the SUV and into the street. Despite striking his head on the road, Walker is expected to make a full recovery.

Sir, would you like some twine to tie down your new mattress?

Twine? How much?

I don't know. Probably about ten feet.

Well I can't afford that, so I'll just lay on top of it, and hold onto the roof.

No sir, the twine is complimentary.

While it does go well with the mattress, I only want to buy the mattress, and I'm not going to fall for any of your high pressure sales tactics.
