We love the bonkers Ford GT, but this is clearly the car’s shakedown year in racing. Found On Road Dead? Nah, the No. 67 car was Flaming On Road Dead during this morning’s WeatherTech Sports Car Championship practice at Long Beach.

Fortunately, NBC Sports’ Tony DiZinno reports that driver Richard Westbrook was able to escape the car-b-que just fine. The fire started in the car’s engine bay.

Surely there are some good Ford jokes about this. Flames On Richard Driving? Either way, we’re glad the fire was put out pretty quickly and no one was hurt.
