The boys from Sant'Agata are raiding their Ingolstadt brethren's parts department to build two new sports cars, one of which will be in the Ferrari Enzo's realm. According to Edmunds Inside Line, Lambo will resurrect the Miura name for a midengined supercar derived from the Audi Le Mans that will be wider and shorter and pack 700hp. The Miura could appear as early as next year.
Also on the rocket docket is the Espada, a long-rumored 2+2 coupe. Few details are available, and the timeline is sketchy — a midengined version could follow the Miura, but a front-engined model wouldn't likely show up before 2009. Surprisingly, the company is also said to be working up a new super-SUV. Code-named LM00X, the sport truck expected in 2008 would be nothing like the insane 002 of the 1980s and 1990s, but more likely a version of the upcoming Audi Q5, fitted with either Audi's 4.2-liter V8 or a 5.0-liter V10. Oh yes, fun times ahead.
