Honestly, how hard is it to make a BMW X7? You just take an X5 and make it longer to accommodate a useful third-row seat. Oh, well it looks like BMW is way ahead of us.
We received photos of what's presumably the upcoming X7 mega SUV (sorry, sports activity vehicle) to be unveiled sometime in 2016 before it goes into production at the expanded South Carolina factory. These pictures came from testing in Ireland, according to the photographer.

While it's just a prototype, it's not particularly covered up for an all-new model. Which leads us to suspect the X7 really will be a longer X5.

One could ask Volkswagen the same question. They need a big CUV worse than BMW. Instead they're messing around with coupes that even I'll admit aren't coupes.
