Pope Francis Wants Priests To Drive Humble Cars

Pope Francis, a man who is actually known for his humility from time to time, is asking priests if they wouldn't mind driving a car that isn't so fancy, maybe from time to time, and would that be so bad, really?

The Pope went on to advise new priests who are thinking of dropping some of that sweet Vatican ca$$$h on a shiny new luxobarge to think of the children, and how many are dying of hunger in the world, according to Reuters:

"It hurts me when I see a priest or a nun with the latest model car, you can't do this," he said.

Oy vey, there he goes again with the Jewish guilt.

I personally have not yet witnessed any priests driving around in a Bentley, but then again, I'm not Catholic, so I can't exactly say one way or the other how prevalent a priestly vice this is. I suspect a one-make racing series coming on, with unique coveralls.

Pope Francis, who upgraded to that sweet, sweet customized Mercedes-Benz G-Wagen upon his election to high office, previously drove a Ford Focus around Rome.

I'm Catholic, and I've never seen a priest NOT drive a humble car (usually a Chevy, Ford, or Buick). Maybe it's different in Europe, but that's my experience in the USA
