This Is How To Swap A Ferrari V8 Into A Toyota GT86

Earlier this month, we saw a Ferrari 458 engine mounted in the nose of a Toyota GT86. We had no idea how it was supposed to work. But now we have a first look at the build process, like how it will have intakes behind the front wheels.

Judging from professional GT86 engine-swapper/driver Ryan Tuerck’s walkthrough, it’s going to need a lot of custom parts to make it work, like the custom headers and an air intake system that runs through the firewall.

It doesn’t sound easy, but man will it be awesome when it’s done.

For those of you whining about a Ferrari engine in a Toyota and how X engine would be better... Just enjoy the fact that you haven’t seen this done before. Cars would be so boring if the same thing was done over and over and over.

I can’t wait to see the completed project.
