Ford fan here. I own a 2009 Flex. My previous was a 2008 Escape hybrid (RIP).

First problem: I get better mileage in a giant vehicle like the Flex than I did in my Escape hybrid. This is comparing my daily driving habits and not on paper.

Second problem: My biggest gripe about the new Fords (mainly the Focus, and this Escape concept) is what happend to clean interior lines? The Flex has such great simplistic lines in the design of the console. But this concept, the new Focus, and Fiesta look like they were fashioned from an alien spaceship. Some might like the sci-fi esthetic, but I don't like to be distracted by the radio buttons when driving. I can't be alone here?
