The Mercedes-AMG C63 has never been the refined member of the small German sports sedan group. While BMW and Audi were studying for the SATs, the Mercedes was smoking cigarettes under the bleachers and skipping chemistry. But now there's a new C63. Is it still a tire smoking madman? Let's let Chris Harris explain.
There are a number of changes from the last C63. Gone is the glorious 6.2 liter V8, replaced with the 4.0 liter turbo V8 from the AMG GT, though it has a wet sump this time. Instead of hydraulic steering, the C63 has gone electric, much like Bob Dylan before.
Just how different is it? Very different. So different that Chris takes a full 21 minutes to geek out over the latest little sedan out of Affalterbach. Sit back, relax, and enjoy.
