Even The Lamborghini Miura's Tires Scream Speed

This 1972 car did not win any prize at the Concorso. But that doesn't mean it wasn't a spectacular sight. Being one of the only two Miuras painted azzurro cielo and sporting a pelle bleu interior, this SV left the factory on the 14th of July, 1972, and headed to Lamborghini Great Britain.

The tires are Turbospeed, to be exact. You see, the 150 Miura SVs came with wider rear arches to accomodate the new FR60 VR-15 Pirelli Cinturato tires. Problem is that they don't really make that size anymore, so this SV had a set of Avon Turbospeeds instead.

Only sixteen more were built after, all with a speedometer numbered to 320 km/h (200 mph) mostly to piss off Enzo Ferrari.

Today, it resides in Switzerland, while no other than Valentino Balboni's son drove it to Lake Como for all us lucky ones to see.
