Debra Bolton ended up in the hoosegow over a glass of wine with dinner and a .03 blood-alcohol level. In Washington, DC, unlike most other areas of the country, if one's blood contains more than .01 percent joy juice, one can be found eligible for a night in the slammer if one apprehended while operating a motor vehicle. In Bolton's case, her Acura MDX's headlights weren't on, their automatic function possibly deactivated by a sneaky parking attendant. And while she chose to fight the case against her made by the District, Bolton has since decided to take her drinking and driving to the Commonwealth of Virginia, just to be on the safe side. [Thanks to CTE for the tip.]
