Unimpressed by the overly-decal-covered, huge sponsor-loving, goofy-ass-winged professional drift world on the rise in America? Why not root for the little guys featured in this Drift Mechaniks video.

Well, since I'm the one who sent it in (BTW, if you don't already know, my first name in Jim) I thought it was postworthy for a couple of reasons:

1) You have to admit it was a very well produced video, with the right amount of camera work, and a killer soundtrack. I am no fan of drifting myself, but I watched this video, and sent it in.

2) Rear wheel drive cars are suppose to be Jalopnik. Having them spin and destroy tires is also suppose to be Jalopnik. OK, so drifting isn't really much of a sport, but every once in a while, it's spectacular.

3) Who in their right mind doesn't love Japanese Sports Coupes. There were a few nissans (our market 240SX), a RWD Corolla, mixing it up with a couple of BMW's, and a Mustang of all things.

4) Sorry if most of the commentariant doesn't like it. I did. And apparently the Auto Insider did as well.....

5) Read my posts at Cardomain.com.... (Hey, I had to do a shameless plug. Anyway, this is where I spotted this piece in the first place....)
