Heads up if you've been buying Christmas toys for your little hoons at Dollar General. The hard working bureaucrats at the Consumer Product Safety Commission have recalled some of the discount store's Chinese-made toy cars because of the presence of lead. Of course, it could be argued that permanent brain damage is a small price to pay for low-quality, low-priced merchandise. May we recommend just buying your kids Matchbox cars? A full list of the recalled car toys included below for parents that might be worried about the presence of heavy metals.


The recalled cars include 380,000 Pull-Back Action Toy Cars (pictured), 7,500 Dragster and Funny Car toys and 7,200 "Big Red" wagons. Though no illnesses have been linked to these toys, lead is bad for the youngins. [

Isn't this kind of a chicken and egg thing. If your child is old enough to play with pull back cars and still tries to eat them, the brain damage might have been there before the lead.
