As part of an in-depth look at NASCAR's "martyr" approach to safety (One famous person must die to get each safety measure adopted), Cracked put together this diagram explaining exactly how to win in NASCAR. [via Cracked]
Finishing up the parade laps, you see a green flag in the hand of the man at the start/finish line. As the lead car approaches, the flag is unfurled, and the race begins. You plant your right foot to the floorboard, threatening to push right through to the asphalt, but the floor holds strong. Moments later, the track veers left, and straight ahead of you is a safer barrier.
