Since the cars we tended to pick to win the America's Most Beautiful Roadster trophy never won, we stopped attending the Grand National Roadster Show three years ago. The other reason is that we got burnt out on all of the politics of the hot rod scene. However, a well-built rod or custom is still one of our favorite things, right up there with raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens. And the kids over at the Jalopy Journal have somewhere in the neighborhood of bazillions of pictures. Meanwhile, Autoblog's got the winning small-block-powered '35 Ford, the same car that took the Ridler award at the Detroit Autorama last year. It still looks like a car for old people.
