Camera Operator Requirement For The Grand Tour: Balls Of Steel

If you’ve ever wanted a behind-the-scenes point-of-view from the cameraman, here it is.

Filming The Grand Tour requires quite a bit of traveling, although that probably isn’t something Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May are strangers to. One of those places includes Mugello. And on Mugello are cars going by very quickly, were very sideways and very close. Especially since the Aston wasn’t really keeping to the outside of the corner, Carscoops points out.

Clarkson posted a photo of the cars the three are currently hooning in Italy on his Facebook page, and are you the least bit surprised at their choices?

The first location will take place Johannesburg, South Africa, but expect live tapings in the UK, Germany, and the U.S. to follow. Hoorah!

The Aston was sliding on purpose... not sure about the Challenger. My guess is that the Challenger tapped the gas and went into default “tree search” mode.
