Remember how the “new Supra” was rumored to be a mid-engine hybrid for like, years and years? Concepts like the Toyota Alessandro Volta from 2004 certainly made us feel like that could be the case. The Italdesign-Giugiaro body packed a hybrid 3.3-liter V6 mounted in the center and all-wheel drive.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the Mitsubishi Evo IX lately. I’m awake at night thinking about a turbocharged 4, all wheel drive, rally provenance. My productivity has been reduced to nothing as I dream of the performance version of a startlingly average sedan. I can do nothing else but think, dream, and feel Evo. 

ItalDesign’s Aston Martin Twenty Twenty Concept comes from the year 2001, and it was meant to imagine what an Aston roadster would look like in 2020. I think the actual cars ended up looking better.
