This has to be one of the stranger incidents we've seen this week — and trust me, we've seen some strange shit as of late. A cabbie yesterday afternoon in East Flatbush seemed to lose control of his taxi and swerved into the path of an 8-year-old riding a bike, hitting the kid, then a wall. After
coming crashing to a stop, the cabbie was confronted by dozens of bystanders who proceeded to beat the living snot out of him. Somewhere between bouts of uconcsiousness, the driver explained his passenger had struck him in the head with a metal bar and tried to rob him. The crowd then...
...turned on the passenger, vigilante-style, proceeding to tie a belt around his neck. Police arrived and arrested the would-be robber and charged the beaten-up scofflaw with robbery and assault. All three were taken to various hospirals and are in stable condition. It just goes to show you, never...ever run over a kid on a bike — regardless of why. People just don't like it very much.
