Australia's V8 Utes Series

This image was lost some time after publication.

Our friend Matt back in high school had a Falcon-based Ranchero with a manual trans and a 289. We had a '75 ElCo with a smog-choked 350 and a TH350. Matt once smoked us in a stoplight-to-stoplight race. He referred to our cars as "mortal enemies." And in Australia, where the ute is still paid proper respect, they've even got a Ford vs. Holden racing series. Which is better than watching stoplight drags between two teenage boys in clunkers, we're sure. Meanwhile, we're thinking we were born in the wrong colony. [Thanks to David for the tip.]
