Against the dire predictions of some, the future home of the U.S. Grand Prix — aka the bong-shaped Circuit of Americas — may actually be finished in time to run a mid-2012 race.


This aerial photo released by the CoA shows progress being made to get the land prepared for construction. And, worst case scenario, if they stopped now this would be a fairly epic place to drive a Ford Raptor. Oh God, now I can't stop thinking about this. Please, someone stop me before I'm arrested.

The thought of an F1 race here is just too much awesome for me to think about right now. I'm sure Bernie will try to bend us over a barrel and fuck us for extra royalties like he is trying to do to the Turkish GP, but I don't care. I will make the road trip, and I better see a whole bunch of you assholes there.
