RIP Phife Dawg. This lost wallet saga was how I first encountered A Tribe Called Quest, and it’s one of the few that specifically name-checks a car, in this case a 1974 Dodge Dart.

Nice choice. I only knew their big hit “Cool like That” until Napster came around and I started learning more Tribe songs. To this day, I still can’t pronounce “Segundo” with the word “gun” in the middle (it’s “goon”). I learned Spanish pretty early, so a lot of Americanized Spanish names just mess with my head. San Luis Obispo! Moreno Valley!
