Elvis once put several rounds into his yellow Pantera after the bastard wouldn't start. Lauriano Lawrence Lovato of Kingman, Arizona fired two shots into his old Camaro's dashboard and windshield. Then he took a nap, and a SWAT team showed up.

Apparently neighbors had called police after hearing the shots. Lovato says he was angry because the car wouldn't start. Also, he was drunk (according to him). What he didn't know was that his subsequent deep, drink-induced napping would cause a standoff with a SWAT team.

Unbeknownst to him, by early afternoon police had cordoned off several streets around the house, used a loudspeaker to try and contact him, and eventually the SWAT team tossed a remote communication device through his window, but no dice.

When police finally did bust into his house at around 4 p.m., they found Lovato sitting in a room, apparently unaware of the scene he'd caused for most of the day. Police booked him for disorderly conduct with a weapon, which in Kingman is said to carry a penalty of six minutes of community service.

He also owes the Presley estate $50,000 in royalties.
