The Saturn Ion never generated much of a charge when GM built it, but it looks far tougher with all of its body panels removed and the subframe painted black. Meet a former TV star and future LeMons competitor.

This Mad-Maxed out 2003 Ion was apparently built as part of an ad campaign for Bridgestone tires; you can see the spot aired in last year's Super Bowl here. The purchaser told the crowd at Reddit that outside of its exterior, the interior was mostly standard Saturn fare, and that based on their recommendations he's entering Space Frame Skeletor in the April LeMons fest — which at its sale price of $350, it easily qualifies for.
