Few things make your hair stand on end like the shout-howl of a 997 RSR getting its groove on. Jerez, artful editing, and Calexico's "Pepita" — real life is rarely this LOOK AT ME, but if it works, who cares?
We're not quite sure what the guy who built this is on about — and frankly, we're getting a bit tired of drama-bomb Top Gear copycats — but the sound here is worth it. Also, if you're not belted in around 2:31, well... we'll let you find out for yourself. Turn it up.
This is the first part of a three-part series. The second part...
...offers a helmet-cam in-car view and some
annoying artsy lens flare. The third is just aimless as the first two, but it features a GT3 Cup car. The author's YouTube channel offers a bunch of other clips, all of which are thick on suspense and thin on detail or plot.
Oh, yeah, one more thing: As it turns out, Simon and Garfunkel's "The Sound of Silence" is actually about endurance racing. Who knew?
