For fans of the subtle humor of Chevy Chase it hardly gets better than Fletch and, yet, hardly does it get worse than Fletch Lives. The lively film follows investigative reporter Irwin Fletcher, a.k.a. Jane Doe, and his attempt to crack the L.A. drug trade and a massive conspiracy. Along the way he hooks up with a beautiful woman, plays ball with Kareem Abdul Jabar and gets punched by Joe Don Baker. Though Chevy Chase is no longer funny, it would be difficult to deny the subtle genius he brings to this role, elevating a good story into one of the great comedies. Who else could make the line "I'll have a bloody mary with a steak sandwich... and a steak sandwich" funny? It's a bit over the top, but in a good way. Much like the 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 is endowed with style Rusty-My-Enemy considers both unnecessary and perfect.

That rear aerofoil is just gratuitous.

By which I mean good. Like rare steak with a side order of some more steak.

It's all ball bearings these days, anyways.
