There are more than a few great cars hidden under hideous skin and extraneous design elements. Some just need a little bit of work to look better. What car would you redesign and how?

The Subaru Baja should have been the ultimate Jalopnik ride. It was an El Camino with a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-banger, rally-inspired AWD and quirky looks. Unfortunately, the looks were too quirky and it was too much like a truck for us. We'd have knocked off a pair of doors, a la the Brat, and made it look more like a Legacy GT than a Legacy Outback. Of course, by doing a great job of redesigning a car you might find yourself let go, so sock a few bucks away if you plan to answer.
