Toyota bought back at least two cars in 2009 after dealer technicians reported unintended acceleration that couldn't be diagnosed, according to new filings in a class-action lawsuit.
The buy-backs included strict confidentiality agreements barring consumers from disclosing the problem to anyone and from suing the automaker, according to the amended class-action complaint.
Toyota says those two vehicles showed no unreported defects after thousands of testing miles. [AP]
DISCUSSION
In related news. Ford is buying back the affected 98-2003 Windstar's with the rear axle issue. This of course being a lot more then just two bought back. Also it's been kept kinda quiet.
