Nevertheless, you've got to give the guy credit for trying to live the dream. The mini two-seater features a bank of batteries connected to roof mounted solar panels. The Solar Bug isn't fully solar, as it will supply approximately 10-20 miles worth of the total 60 mile charging range.
Top speed is approximately 35 mph, which is probably faster than most would feel comfortable about. The company is currently taking individual and fleet orders for a 2008 debut, and it might be a nice option if you're the mayor of a tiny liberal town with no major highways.
