Just a few weeks ago, many of you wailed and gnashed your teeth over this junked Amazon wagon, and now I've found this Amazon coupe on Death Row.

I've done my share of Amazon driving, and I can't honestly describe myself as a big fan of the staid old Swedes as daily drivers (I do, however, have a soft spot for the 140s), but the survivors certainly deserve a better fate that what this one is getting. Why didn't someone turn this one into a race car?
G/O Media may get a commission

The drivetrain is there, much of the interior is still intact, and rust doesn't seem to be an issue. Let's hope its parts save the lives of Amazons still fortunate enough to be on the other side of the junkyard fence!

DISCUSSION
Dear Murilee,
I'm now curious - what makes Amazons bad daily drivers? What makes 140s good? Let's let the cat out of the bag, eh?
